Get to Know Scotia:

Scotia Medical Group was founded by a group of friends and colleagues who shared a common goal: saving lives. With a shared passion for community well-being, they came together to offer first-aid training to people in the local area.

Their primary mission is to save lives through first aid training, empowering local residents with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to act in emergencies. By building a network of trained individuals, we aim to ensure that more lives can be saved in critical situations.

The charity now has over 50 volunteers from first aiders to paramedics and nurses, providing internal training currently up to FREC 3 with the hope of offering FREC 4 in the future. As well as this, they also run monthly training events and play days to provide CPD opportunities for team bonding and experience working with different skill sets. Several of their volunteers have now gone on to pursue a career in healthcare
