FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

THE EVENTS TEAM HAVE TAKEN TIME TO ANSWER SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EVENT. HOWEVER, SHOULD YOU STILL HAVE A QUESTION BUGGERING YOU PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!

Is their a cancellation policy?

Yes - please read section 5 of the terms and conditions

Will their be food and drink supplied?

Yes - All checkpoints will have water stations. There will also be food provided by MacLeans Bakery at Grantown

Where can supporters cheer on riders?

Supporters are encouraged to cheer riders on at checkpoints. You can cheer along the route but this is at your own discression

Is there transport back?

Yes - It is an optional add on at checkout

What do I get when I finish?

All riders completing the challenge will receive a medal, T-shirt and goodie bag

Can i use a road bike?

No - A road bike is not suitable for the terrain on route. We suggest a mountain bike/hybrid or gravel bike

Will there be a cut-off time?

Yes - riders must reach Cairngorm Base Station by 16:00

How is the charity chosen?

Charities will apply using an application form. The charity will be chosen by a committee. The application process for 2026 is not yet open

Will the event be timed?

Yes - All riders will supplied with have a timing chip

Is it competitive?

We anticipate some riders will take it competitively as King/Queen of the mountain trophies are up for grabs
